Music Ministry

The Trinity Choir is the center of musical offerings at Trinity Church. An exciting mixed choral ensemble, our choir is made up of professional singers and highly trained and experienced volunteer members from Trinity's congregation. The high level of ability allows for a wide variety in the choral repertoire presented. Romantic and classical, from Mozart to Vaughan Williams, are the mainstay of our music. But frequent stretches are made in both directions - back to early music and the Renaissance; and forward to contemporary art music, spirituals and even the occasional "praise" piece.

Conducted by Kevin N. Wines, Director of Music/Liturgist, the Trinity Choir sings for the 10:30 a.m. liturgy each Sunday from Labor Day through Trinity Sunday in early June. Summer services feature solo organ repertoire with Kevin at the 1970 Casavant Freres organ.

Special service through the year feature the Trinity choir and guest ensembles. The Trinity Choir is annually featured at a Service of Lessons and Carols on the fourth Sunday of Advent, and a special choral prelude to the Festival Eucharist on Christmas Eve.

In celebration of Leonard Bernstein's 100th birth year, the Trinity Choir performs "Make Our Garden Grow" from Bernstein's Candide.
