PLAN TO JOIN TRINITY’s WORSHIP, MUSIC & ARTS  TEAMThis Week

for an outing to the Columbus Museum of Art this Sunday, August 7 to tour Aminah Robinson's current exhibit "Street Talk and Spiritual; Matters: Aminah's Mt. Vernon Avenue". Entry to the Museum is free on Sundays; parking is behind the Museum at 480 East Broad Street. Aminah Robinson is a local Columbus artist whose work has been the focus of previous exhibits at the Columbus Museum of Art. This exhibit includes the entire range of the different materials and forms that typify her work.  After we tour the exhibit we will stop for lunch at the Palette Express at the Museum.

Sunday, August 14—10:00 a.m.
Please note the special 10:00 a.m. service time, planned to make the picnic nearer to lunch time.
Schiller Park Rec Center at the corner of Deshler Ave. and Jaeger St. in German Village
Please bring lawn chairs and dress comfortably
Potluck Parish Picnic to follow in the Rec Center.
Please bring a dish to share.
Suggested dishes:  If your last name begins with
  • A-G bring a salad or side dish
  • H-R bring an entrée
  • S-Z bring a desert
The Parish Life Ministry Team will provide paper products and beverages.

August Challenge:  A Kitchen Basket
September Challenge:  A Food Basket
Trinity’s Church School Children and our Community Ministry Team are asking for your help to fill some of the needs of families who have recently newly immigrated to our city.
CRIS request 4 categories of baskets—Kitchen, Bath, Bedroom, Food. We will focus on Kitchen in August and create a food basket in September.
We will be collecting these items for the KITCHEN BASKET between now and August 14, which is Mass in the Grass. New or gently used items are welcome. If you care to make a cash donation for items to help fill the basket, please talk with Jori McDevitt at coffee hour Sunday. Please remember to bring your items to Trinity on Sunday or to Mass in the Grass on Sunday, August 14

Altar Decoration Memorials

If you would like to place a flower memorial or thanksgiving in the Sunday bulletin, please contact Diane Donato in the Parish Office via email or at 221-5351.  A donation of $50 is suggested, but any reasonable amount will be accepted.  Only a few dates are spoken for currently.

Also, if you do not receive birthday and anniversary cards from the Rector, please update your information in Diane's members' database.  Simply email her your information.

Please don't forget our neighbors on the street. New dry socks are essential for this time of year. We have many weekday requests for snacks and canned self-opening food items as well. All donations are greatly appreciated.

St Phillip Church will be taking part in a trip to the dedication of the new Martin Luther King Memorial in Washington, DC, on August 26-28. They have available seats and invite anyone from Trinity that is interested to join them.  For complete details click here.

We pray for Brianna Maher, Capt. Brian Smith, Jordan Sellman, Ted Abad, Private Dan Williamson, Cynthia Epler, Matt Schumann, Commander Scott Whaley, Specialist Michael A. Martin, Staff Sgt. Robert A Griffith Jr. and all who serve our country overseas and at home.
