It's not too late--sign up for ECSF Bike Fest 2012 today!

esfOver 100 loving people are biking Aug. 17-18 to raise money for community ministry throughout our diocese. They range in age from 3 to 73, including eleven clergy, two couples on tandem bikes, Scout troops and curious neighbors.
On all three rides, bikers will gather lore about the cool ways local churches are overcoming suffering and bringing hope to neighbors in need. The proceeds power ECSF grants to shelters, pantries, tutoring and more.
You too can be a saint in lanes or at tea, by sponsoring the riders online at Click on the BikeFest banner in the middle of the home page and choose the blue "sponsor" link at the top of the page you land on.

We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time – Phyllis Gill, Michael McKinley, Zane Burchfield, Bascil Wines, Sr. Priscilla, Bill Warren, John Johnson,  Emma Parey, Bob &Jodi Park, Carrie Stowers, Joanne Giroux, and others whom we name silently or aloud.
We pray for Captain Andrew Saik, Capt. Brian Smith, Marcus Hill, Jordan Sellman, Ted Abad, Private Dan Williamson, Cynthia Epler, Matt Schumann, Commander Scott Whaley, Specialist Michael A. Martin, Gunnery Sergeant Robert A Griffith Jr.
We remember all who work for peace around the world, especially in Nigeria, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Iran and Israel, Afghanistan, Pakistan and South Sudan.
And we still our hearts and turn our prayers today to the poorest and the most easily forgotten in our midst . . . praying especially for all who will visit Trinity this afternoon and worship at In The Garden, and the many in need of food and lodging.  We ask for vision to see the needs of our neighbors, hear the cries of the poor, and respond with courage and with love.
Birthdays:  Andrew Giljahn, Lori Dhiraprasiddhi, Annette Wehner, Stuart Hobbs, Kyle Baith, Mackenzie Sapp
Anniversary: Joyce and Peter Casey
