Assistant Professor of Anglican Theology at Bexley Hall SeminaryDr. Fout will join in our celebration of Pentecost Sunday as we honor the 400th anniversary of the printing of the King James Version of the Bible of 1611. He will preach at our one combined liturgy that morning, beginning at 9:30 a.m., and will follow the service with a “chapel chat” focusing on the literary, cultural, and religious heritage found in the Authorized English Version of the Bible, 1611 (a.k.a. “The King James Bible”).

Thursday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Library… Planning for future community building and FUNdraising events for Trinity Parish. All interested in getting in on the ground floor of future events are welcome to attend. Columbus Marathon-Trinity will have greater involvement with the Nationwide Columbus Marathon this year! Trinity will be hosting the official meet the Race Director and Pasta dinner on October 15 the night before the marathon. In addition, Trinity will be hosting a spectator pancake breakfast following the race start on October 16. The traditional pre-race worship service will be held and 90 people attended in 2010. Trinity's bells will chime marking the race start. The church will also have a booth at the Race expo. Trinity is pleased to be able to partner with the Columbus Marathon and provide hospitality to the runners and spectators. Parishioners will be needed to assist with the many offerings-watch for volunteer opportunities. Contact Debbie Wiedwald if you have any questions.
Common Ministry Team to gather for dinner

Over the past 18 months, Trinity has joined with five other congregations in the Diocese of Southern Ohio in the pilot expression of “Common Ministry.” Our Common Ministry Team, convened by Emily Pucker and Debbie Wiedwald, has brought fresh eyes to our parish committees and ministry teams, asked penetrating questions about new opportunities for ministry in our common parish life and in our wider community, and explored diverse styles of congregational life and ministry with other leaders in the Diocese.This group will make a report to the vestry at its June meeting, and now seeks your insights on a wide range of ministry opportunities. Please join the Common Ministry Team at this dinner/conversation. Your input, imagination, and commitments are all essential for our common ministry.
SummerQuest
Operating from June - August, SummerQuest is Amethyst’s 12-week intensive intervention day camp for children ages 6-14 whose mothers are involved in our long-term addiction recovery program. SummerQuest provides a unique opportunity in the Columbus community for women and children who are working to recover their lives from addiction, mental illness, violence and poverty. The children served by SummerQuest have needs that exceed the programmatic abilities at more traditional summer programs. Nationally-acclaimed and supported by the Columbus community, SummerQuest aims to break the cycle of addiction, violence and poverty and provides the tools and framework for families to thrive. - Providing about 13,000 hours of service to kids each summer
- Serving 35-40 kids per day, and about 50 over the entire summer

- Enhancing the summer leadership program for teens: with the acquisition of a new van, teens can move off campus more often to participate in more volunteer opportunities and to be more involved with job readiness training.

In celebration of the recent return of the delegation from Liberia
The Columbus Deanery of the Episcopal Church will gather for a picnic on Sunday, June 26 at 12:15 p.m. at St. James' Church in Clintonville. Members of delegation will be present, including Cliff Flemister. They will reflect on the trip and answer question beginning at 1:30 p.m.Bishop Breidenthal will be visiting St. James that morning and will stay to join this celebration.
Food is being provided by the Deanery. All are welcome to attend. Please speak to the Rector for more details and to be added to Trinity's RSVP list.

In honor of World Refugee Day (June 20th) Community Refugee
and Immigration Services (CRIS) will be holding a World Refugee Day celebration on Saturday June 18th. Please join us! It will be a day to celebrate the diverse community in which we live and support our friends and neighbors who have been forced to flee their homes and have joined our community.
There will be food, entertainment, children's activities, sports, and much more. Feel free to bring your favorite cultural dish. Also, we will be showing a documentary called Welcome to Shelbyville at 3:30pm on the day of the event. You can learn more about this documentary here. The Ohio Action Circle is now centered at the Hilltonia United Methodist church in the Hilltop in Columbus, Ohio. We are working in partnership with; The Shalom Zone, the United Methodist Church, the Ohio Action Circle, Centro Esperanza Latina and several local organizations on the west side.In partnership with Centro Esperanza Latina, we are hosting and implementing a Latino immigrant 9-week summer camp for children ages 7-13. The camp is weekdays from June 13 to August 19.
We are seeking volunteers everyday throughout the camp dates. You can join us as an individual, youth group, church/faith group, organization...whatever! This would be great exposure to the immigrant community and west side community in general.
At this point we have 2 shifts: 8:30am-11:30 am and 12:00 pm-3:00 pm. At this point you can choose whichever dates are best for you. Please consider this invitation and think creatively as far as who you can invite to assist us.
