Thanks to the Layweeders:The Lay Weeders' first ever Trinity Plant Sale was a modest success, despite the rain and the stunning lack of interest in ivy from the church garden; the sale brought in over $400. Thanks to all who offered plants and/or worked the sale: Jay and Kate Blakeslee, Chad and Courtney Clark, Kitty Morton Epler, Susan McKinley, Jeff McNealey, Kent Phillips, Pat Rugola, and Al Sheppard and Dale Deubler. Thanks also to Kevin Wines for logistical support, and special thanks to Jay and Kate Blakeslee and Kent Phillips for extraordinary post-sale efforts. If you missed the German Village Valuables Sale and want to help out—or just want to shop more—Trinity will be opening shop at the home of Dale Deubler and Al Sheppard on June 4th, during the Short North yard sale. 9am to 3pm at 112 Buttles Ave. 291-0055. We would like to have volunteers sign up for 2 hours shifts or for the day. Please speak to Joel Norris, Al or Dale to volunteer time. |

SummerQuest
Operating from June - August, SummerQuest is Amethyst’s 12-week intensive intervention day camp for children ages 6-14 whose mothers are involved in our long-term addiction recovery program. SummerQuest provides a unique opportunity in the Columbus community for women and children who are working to recover their lives from addiction, mental illness, violence and poverty. The children served by SummerQuest have needs that exceed the programmatic abilities at more traditional summer programs. Nationally-acclaimed and supported by the Columbus community, SummerQuest aims to break the cycle of addiction, violence and poverty and provides the tools and framework for families to thrive.
