With great sadness we report the death of our sister in Christ Mary Lake. Mary died on Monday while preparing to attend the Trinity 200 event that evening. Mary and Jack were regular communicants at Trinity's 8 o'clock service. We pray for Mary, Jack, and their family. A memorial service of celebration for Mary's life will be held in Trinity Church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13.

Father of all, we pray to you for Mary, and for all those whom we love but see no longer.
Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them.
May her soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Soprano Karen Peeler—songs for a lifetime
Sunday, May 21, 3:00 p.m.

Dr. Karen Peeler, Professor Emeritus of Voice and Pedagogy at the Ohio State University, has performed leading roles in opera, operetta, and musical theater throughout the United States and has concertized widely in the U.S., Austria, and Italy. She will be joined by a host of friends, including pianists Robin Guy, Michael Lester, and Rose Zuber; violist Henrietta Neeley; soprano Marley Nemeth; tenor Michael Hamilton; and narrator Christopher Purdy. You are invited to enjoy excellent music in a beautiful and historic space. A reception follows the recital. There is no charge for admission to any of our concerts; a freewill offering will be taken to support the Music Series. St. John's is located at 700 High Street in Worthington, on the southeast corner of the Olde Worthington Village Green (High Street at SR 161). Visit for more information.

CURRENT NEEDS: We are in need now of toiletries, especially men's  shaving cream, men's socks and gloves, & men's deodorant. Also, a number of our guests are living without electricity so candles are always of use.
VOLUNTEERS!  And we need YOU!  Several people have had to leave the Core team of ITG lately, and we are desperately in need of committed people to keep this ministry alive and flourishing. If you want to know more about participating in ITG in the future, please contact Lori Dhiraprasiddhi or Father Burnett.

A very sincere thank you to everyone who has made a pledge commitment to Trinity Church for 2017. A list of pledgers is available here.

Spring is here!

And it’s still pretty cold. This is a tricky time of year because once the temperatures reach the low 30s the shelter overflow ends and people are outside again. Trinity is a warming station on weekdays for those who need shelter from the cold and is a cooling station in the warm weather. Our visitors need new men’s athletic socks. They also need self-opening snack items. Your continuing generosity is greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much!

We remember in prayer...

We remember all who work for peace around the world: for Capt. Kristian Tonnessen,  Petty Officer Kristy Sizemore, Jordan Sellman, Cynthia Epler, Matt Schumann, Captain Scott Whaley, Gunnery Sergeant Robert A Griffith Jr., and all who serve our country.
St. John of Damascus Greek Orthodox Church, Bab Touma, Damascus, Syria
Praying for peace around the world, we continue to ask God for a deeper compassion and greater courage to offer help to refugees and migrants and all in need.
We renew our commitments to serve the neediest and most easily forgotten in our midst and remember all who are homeless and hungry in our city today.  We give thanks for the generous hospitality offered this afternoon at In The Garden, and pray for the Holy Spirit’s abundant grace in our fellowship.
We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time – Jerry Sellman, Jean Olmstead, Mary Beittel, Dori, Brigham Page, Marjorie Holzer, Eleanor Johnson, Elizabeth Lilly, Lalik, Jeff McNealey, Walter Friedmann, Kay Sturm, John Sanders, Dick Oman, Sharon Whaley, David and Tyra and all in prison, and others whom we name silently or aloud.
We pray for Mary Lake who died this week.
Birthdays: Kate Webster, Benjamin Johnson
Anniversaries:  John & Kathy Sheridan, Jerry & Karen Sellman
Flowers are given today to the Glory of God and in Memory of Eloise Allison and all Mothers.
