Help us celebrate Trinity’s bicentennial in 2017Our 2017 bicentennial is an opportunity to recommit to what is best about Trinity and to making our congregation even better and stronger for those that follow.
Trinity’s Bicentennial Planning Committee has begun to focus on themes that reflect our history and values and to consider programs and events that are possible in terms of time, talent and treasure. We have formed several subcommittees to help plan our bicentennial celebration: historical, marketing/outreach, musical, social and visual.
If you are interested in joining one of the subcommittees, please share your name, email address and phone number with Bill Bronson at firstname.lastname@example.org and Julie Newhall at email@example.com. A planning committee member will be in touch to let you know about upcoming meetings.
THIS WEEK WE REMEMBER IN PRAYER:We pray for Justin, Archbishop of Canterbury, Michael our Presiding Bishop; Elizabeth, Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America; Thomas our bishop in the Diocese of Southern Ohio.
We remember all who work for peace around the world, and especially this day we pray for our nation and other international partners discerning war and peace and wisdom in this time of terror and violence. Remembering friends and family members related to this community, we pray for Specialist Hannah Stout, Petty Officer Kristy Sizemore, Cynthia Epler, Matt Schumann, Captain Scott Whaley, Gunnery Sergeant Robert A Griffith Jr., and all who serve our country.
For peace in a war torn world, especially in Jerusalem, Palestine and Israel. In this season of Lent we pray for St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church, Mataria, Cairo, Egypt. We continue to ask God for a deeper compassion and greater courage to offer help to refugees and migrants and all in need.
We renew our commitments to serve the neediest and most easily forgotten in our midst and remember all who are homeless and hungry in our city today. We give thanks for the generous hospitality offered this afternoon at In The Garden, and pray for the Holy Spirit’s abundant grace in our fellowship.
We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time –Suzanne Leslie, Leah Lake, Jack & Mary Lake, Stuart Phillips, August Giles, Judy McKissick, Henry Webster, Lucia Benaquisto , Pauline Austin, Jonie Johnson, Dick Oman, Dave Mozano, Jan Heston, Frances Bennekamper, Gayle Nash, Sharon Whaley, Hal Duryee, David and those in prison and others whom we name silently or aloud.
