Church School Lenten Project...

The Sunday School invites the people of Trinity to join us in our project for Lent.  We are collecting supplies for the school in Ermita, Zacatecas, Mexico.  Ermita is located in a rural area in the central mountains.  The school is small—only 16 students and 1 teacher for Kindergarten through 6th grade.
The students’ needs are great.  While we await a more complete list, we will begin with the basics:
- pens, pencils and pencil sharpeners
- writing paper and notebooks
- crayons and markers
- drawing paper
- construction paper
- scissors and rulers
- glue sticks and tape
If you can contribute to our project, please place items in the basket at the entrance to the church.  We expect to deliver the materials during the Easter season.
Watch this space for more information!

This Sunday, March 3
The Church School students will be hosting coffee hour following
the 10:30 a.m. liturgy, featuring Mexican treats they have made.
Be sure to stay and enjoy!

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 1 at 1:30pm. at St. John's Worthington, which is where they have been attending recently.

EXPLORERS’ CLASS in preparation for confirmation will begin on March 10.  Please contact the Rector for more information.  He will return to the Parish Office on Tuesday, March 5.  (614) 221-5351 or r-burnett@trinitycolumbus.org

CANDLES - NEW AND USED - ARE ALWAYS IN NEED

Please don't forget our neighbors on the street. New dry socks are essential for this time of year. We have many weekday requests for snacks and canned self-opening food items as well. Remember to save hotel toiletries from your travels. All donations are greatly appreciated.

The Columbus Museum of Art celebrates one of the world’s most influential and best-known artists of the 20th century, Mark Rothko with the exhibition, Mark Rothko: The Decisive Decade 1940-1950 featuring 37 works including paintings, watercolors and works on paper drawn largely from the collection of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.  Trinity Church’s rector will give a talk on Rothko on Thursday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. during a stroll through the exhibit.

It's Time to Collect Valuables

It’s never too early to make donations for this spring’s German Village Valuables sale on May 18.  Items can be dropped off at the Church or contact Kent Phillips or Bill Bronson for pickup details.

THIS WEEK WE REMEMBER IN PRAYER:

We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time – Quenten Fabiano, Linda Jones, Dan McKinney, Cynthia Callaghan, John Austen, Sr., Patricia Caldwell,  Debbie Smith, Elijah Todd,  Michael McKinley, Zane Burchfield, Bob Park  and others whom we name silently or aloud.
We pray for Seaman Kristy Olmstead, Captain Andrew Saik, Capt. Brian Smith, Cynthia Epler, Jordan Sellman, Ted Abad, Matt Schumann, Commander Scott Whaley, Specialist Michael A. Martin, Gunnery Sergeant Robert A Griffith Jr., and all who serve our country.
We remember all who work for peace around the world, especially in Nigeria, Syria, Egypt, Iran & Israel, and Afghanistan.
During these days of self-examination and repentance, we renew our commitments to serve the poorest in our midst and remember all who are homeless and hungry in our city today.  We give thanks for the generous hospitality offered this afternoon at the In The Garden, and pray for the Holy Spirit’s abundant grace in our fellowship.
