A new season begins for In The Garden

ITGAs we gear up for a new fall with In The Garden, we need to replenish our supply closet for our friends' needs along the lines of personal items.  We hope to expand our offerings this year, so if as you shop any of you want to pull together items for those in need downtown, here is what we hope to have on hand:
HYGIENE: large bars of soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorant, razors, lotion, tampons or feminine napkins, disposable diapers, toilet paper
CAMPING NEEDS: batteries (C and AA), tarps or plastic sheeting, rope, canned heat, food items in pop-top cans or ready to eat
CLOTHING:we are NOT going to try to provide clothing, since we do not have a place to keep these, but always needed are ... men's and ladies'  socks, men's underwear

Winter is coming!

WinterThere are more people living outside than ever before in Columbus and they are cold and hungry. Trinity will once again be a warming station on weekdays for those who need shelter from the cold. Our visitors need men’s hats, men’s gloves and new athletic socks. They also need self-opening snack items. If you have men’s winter coats and jackets not in use, please bring them to church as well. Most of our visitors do not have warm clothing. Your continuing generosity is a blessing to many. Thank you so much! Diane Donato

flowersAltar Decoration Memorials

If you would like to place a flower memorial or thanksgiving in the Sunday bulletin, contact Diane Donato in the Parish Office via email or at 221-5351.  A donation of $50 is suggested, but any reasonable amount will be accepted.  Only a few dates are spoken for currently. An album of altar decoration has begun online. Click this photo to see more.

We remember in prayer...

We remember all who work for peace around the world: for Capt. Kristian Tonnessen, Specialist Hannah Stout, Petty Officer Kristy Sizemore, Cynthia Epler, Matt Schumann, Captain Scott Whaley, Gunnery Sergeant Robert A Griffith Jr., and all who serve our country.
St. Samuel the Confessor Coptic Orthodox Monastery, Menia, Egypt.
Praying for peace around the world, we continue to ask God for a deeper compassion and greater courage to offer help to refugees and migrants and all in need.
We renew our commitments to serve the neediest and most easily forgotten in our midst and remember all who are homeless and hungry in our city today.  We give thanks for the generous hospitality offered this afternoon at In The Garden, and pray for the Holy Spirit’s abundant grace in our fellowship.
We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time –Sean Lalik, Wendy Frisch, Jeff McNealey, Walter Friedmann, Patty Tessler, Sonia Cardenas, Kay Sturm,  John Sanders,  Leah Lake, Pauline Austin, Jonie Johnson, Dick Oman, Jan Heston, Sharon Whaley, David and those in prison and others whom we name silently or aloud.
