A Special Gift for Trinity

Trinity's amazing collection of beautiful artifacts has been enhanced by a generous gift from Lou Armentrout and Michael Welch of an 18th century Russian icon.

Bestowed to the church on Palm Sunday in memory of the donors' parents, the 17-inch by 21-inch icon portrays the Old Testament Trinty, representing the story of God appearing to Abraham in the form of three angels; in some versions, the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael (Genesis 18). The Orthodox Church interprets the angels as being the three essences of the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This beautiful and deeply spiritual work of art is displayed above the credence table to the right of the altar.

Our deepest thanks and blessing are extended to Lou and Michael for allowing us all to enjoy this historic treasure of Christianity.
